The WA Senior MX Committee in conjunction with the Coastal Motorcycle club staged the National Hire Summercross event on March 3rd and 4th.
Balmy still summer evenings with temperatures escalating over 30 degrees kept the crowds flowing through the gates over both nights to witness the start of the 2006 Race Season.
Chris Brenton fresh from his Pro Quad National title victory in Melbourne was eager to get back on the track, Graham Terry, Colin Jefferies and Grant Gaisford all with their respective National titles filled most of the Pro Quad class, Chad Mckay & Glenn Ashworth 3 times WA State champion were back in fine form and completing the class was exciting new comer Ryan Lancaster from Tom Price.
All 3 Races had the much awaited fight for holeshot, followed by extremely close and exciting racing, the ole dog Terry was out to show the crowd that at 36 he is a long way from being off the podium, these younger racers grew up watching Terry who was once thought of as a cut above the rest in regards to his huge jumping and extremely fast racing.
