Rockingham Powersports sponsored Riders Grant & Luke Gaisford competed in the Hyden Ironman August 16th & 17th.
Grant onboard the New Honda TRX 700XX competing in the over 500cc + Standard Class. Luke riding the Can-Am DS450 competing in the 400cc + Standard class.
Grant maintained consistent times over 300kms, enjoying the luxury of the Fuel injected 700cc machine, "the seat was really comfortable and I didnt even have a sore backside this year, the upholstering on the sides of the tank was great on the knees, would recommend this bike for anyone wanting that bit more comfort for long rides"
Grant took out 2nd in the 500cc+ standard class, and 4th outright.

Luke Gaisford rode the Can-Am DS450 in stock form, an electrical glitch on the first stage, put him out of contention for the outright, being 2 laps down on the field. The problem solved before the second stage, Luke was back out amongst it
and in the unfortunate position of starting last on the grid, The mix of dust and the backmarkers creating quite a challenge
even still, Luke did take out Fastest Laptime of the weekend, his speed was evident and I'm sure he will be eager to get back out to Hyden in 2009.
Luke finished 2nd in his class.
