Round 6 of the State Round series saw Young Luke with a goal to finish his season with 17 wins. On the back of his impressive round 5 races, which saw Gaisford chewing on the heels of Aus Champ Yewers, Gaisford was itching to get out there and better that position and mix it up with the Pro's.
Race 1 saw Gaisford take on the 7 Lap haul on his home track, sitting in no mans land between the Pro front runners and the rest of the intermediates quite a distance behind, never the less, Pro Josh Higson came in behind Luke for the first time this season.
Races 2& 3 saw Luke finish 6th but not forgetting the tussle with Yewers again down roadside, Gaisford Passing Yewers, only to be passed back a few corners later.
Six race meets with this elite crew have seen Luke pull his lap times much closer to the Pro's and with his imminent upgrade to Pro's it will be interesting to watch where Luke places at the Nationals in Tasmania Oct 25th 26th
