State Round 2 Shrublands Park Bunbury May 11th 2008
Rockingham Powersports rider Luke Gaisford travelled to Shrublands Park
Bunbury on May 11th, to compete in Round 2 of the Motorex WA State Motocross Championships. Competing in the Intermediate Quad class Luke convincingly took the Can-Am DS450 to 3 wins. Shrublands circuit was new territory for Luke experiencing the rough terrain of this sand circuit on his stock Can-Am was awesome to watch, as the track roughed up Luke increased his overall positioning in the Pro/Intermediate field. Race 1 Luke was overall 10th beaten by all Pro Riders, Race 2 saw him finish a creditable 7th and at the end of the day in race 3 which saw all quad riders battle the extremely trying conditions coming in his best position overall this year 6th place.
RPS team Quad Veteran and Lukes Dad Grant Gaisford competed in the veteran Quad Class, the current series leader was relegated to 2 x 2nd’s and in race three coming from Last place after leaving the air box lid on, put in a huge effort to finish in 3rd place.
Grant & Luke look forward to Round 3 which will be held at Southern Capes Motorcycle club Jindong on June 15th
