

Adam Davies claims his first Senior Open Title.
Adam Davies took out the MX Challenge on Sunday Oct 4th, a convincing win amongst almost a full grid of Quad riders. Grant Gaisford the oldest rider on the grid didn’t make it easy for the youngster, getting holeshot in race 1 and 2 and taking the win in the first race, Davies put in some huge passes after being held back to 5th in the first race, passing Gaisford and Udell to pull a good lead and win race 2 & 3. Gaisford’s consistent finishes amongst the top couple all day clinched him overall 2nd place, while Local rider Daniel Udell put in a huge day, tackling with the front runners to complete the podium in 3rd place. Mitchel Clarke definitely proved he was ready to be upgraded getting faster and better each race sticking with the front 4 riders. Brad Filbey took 2nd places for race 1 & 3, but a dns in the second race cost him a certain podium finish.
The Junior MX Challenge was also held last weekend, with a good grid of 200-300cc riders on hand to excite the crowds. Marcus Smith fresh from his Australian Championships podium took the win, with Bunbury’s own Anthony Pearce taking a hatrick of second places with Melissa Davies in third, Shaun Woodhead showed great form and took out 4th place with Dean Filbey 5th.
Junior 90cc were dominated by Aus#1 Chris Bosnakis, finishing each race with a huge lead and showing great lap times on the full course track, 2nd went to Maverick Cuthbert while Daniel Fletcher secured 3rd Adam Filbey 4th James Ognenis 5th
Some of the racers suffered some injuries this weekend on the Junior and Senior day and our best wishes go out to them all for a speedy recovery.
