Did anyone say Motocross was a winter sport??? Perfect warm weekend up in Dongara, sun shining, no wind and 230 riders to contest the Third State Round for 2006.
This round looked to be the highest turnout yet, both grids were filling fast in the week leading up to Dongara. Questions were being asked whether Qualifying would be needed !
So take this as advice, if your entering Noble Falls state round and want a place on either grid, get your entries in ASAP. Series Entrants get preference and there wont be qualifying, when the grids are full the entries stop being taken.

We like to think the track held up better this year than last year because of the two grids of Quads out there keeping the track maintenance up during the day, Quad racers would know what I mean by that J
Anyone having checked out the results on Mylaps.com and doing the comparison to last year would have been amazed how much quicker everyone is racing this year, 15 seconds faster a lap was the norm for most racers, which in itself is just amazing! The clubmans of this year putting in faster laptimes than most of the Pro Racers on the same track from last year. The bar has been lifted and because of this, the new intermediate class, run in conjunction with the pro’s has now become a reality. Currently there are only 5 Intermediate graded Quad Racers, we will see them mixing with the pro’s in the last 3 rounds. Sixteen Clubmans + have entered every State round so far, and with the country runs over and 3 city rounds to complete the series, podium finishes in these racers are never guaranteed, theres so much talent in this class than anyone is capable of a win.
The pro class amazes us all every round, this year now completing 7 laps in the alotted 10mins+1 lap races.
