Bunbury State Round 2  June 11th 2006
Bunbury 2006

Bunbury was a much anticipated state round this year. Everyone was hanging out for the next round, it seemed ages since the last.

The Pros division saw some amazing air coming from the top couple of riders with two of them going a little too big and blowing rear shocks. Race 1 saw Chris get the holeshot and stay there for 7 laps with Colin come in for a hard fought 2nd and Ryan all the way from Tom Price come in 3rd.
Race 2 saw Ryan get the holeshot and Kevin sporting the new OUTLAW. Crazy setup on the Polaris and I think it will take some getting used to. Brad Jefferies got a very good start in his first state round as a Pro, well done mate. Chris took out the win with Chad in 2nd and Ryan in 3rd. Race 3 saw Chris take a clean sweep of the day, Chad in 2nd for the race and the day and Ryan with his 3rd  and finishing 3rd.

The clubmans division saw some great racing. Corey got the holeshot in the first race and led for quite some time til Tom took over. Corey was under a lot of stress as his dad had rather a nasty fall on the first lap. I think this gave Corey motivation to finish faster and go and see if he was ok. Clinton Hill overtook Cameron on the final lap and beat him by 0.1 seconds over the line. Grunta came in for 5th with Daryl right on his tail.
Race two saw Grunta get the holeshot with Leon right on his tail. Leon has got his starts down pack, now he just needs to work the first turn and the rest of the race. Michael and Tom had a nasty run in down the back bumpy straight, and once again Clint snuck across the finish line by the narrowest of margins over Corey, with Matt Norman coming in 3rd.
Race 3 was shortened to 3 laps (I think many would have been happy with 2) due to the bad light. There was some tight racing early on, but then turned to a survival race. Tom took the win, followed by Clinton and Corey in 3rd. Clinton took out the day by 3 points over Corey and Tom managed to scrape home for third.
