WAMX State Champs Event Report Round 1
Sunday August 1st, 2010
Round 2 of the Smarter than Smoking Women's State Motocross Championships heads to the Perth Hills at Noble Falls. This hard packed surface has proven extremely popular with ladies racing in the past 18 months and this year's championship round will be no exception. Held in conjunction with the annual BSA Cup and Harley Scramble motocross racing events, the oldest scramble event in Western Australia, hosted by the BSA and Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club. Despite the name, this club is a dedicated motocross club with it's home track at Noble Falls, Gidgegannup since 1971.

Round 2 of the Women's state MX Championships will set to sort out many of the states female riders with the hard packed queens hoping to push the outstanding success of series leader Jess Moore. Local home track riders, Emma Clack, Kathryn Scoble, Tahlia Riley and Alisha Nash will be determined to make amends from round one results in the sand of Coastal Park and shine at Noble Falls.

Eager to maintain their spots in the top five will be Annisssa Berichon currently second, Hannah Lovett and Chelsea Blakers. Young gun Courtney Hirst is tipped to make her championship debut in this round and last years runner-up Dimity-Lee Duke is juggling work and Enduro comittments to make this round, and desperate to make amends for last years elusive championship crown which slipped through her fingers in the last race of the last round in 2009.

2009 and current WA number 1 plate holder Josephine Adlam is unable to make it back from her home in New Zealand to contest back to back championships, but is hoping to be able to make it back for the Queen of the Cross, which is where Round 3 of the Women's WAMX State Championships heads after Noble Falls.
