Double header weekend of Motocross was held this weekend at Jindong Park in Busselton.
Saturday the Quads were out in force with over 110 riders taking part. The Championship Quad field of 15 riders were fast and furious across the first of the 15minute moto's, with local rider Mitchel Clark taking the lead in the first heat for half the race with Ryan Lancaster and Glen Ashworth in tow eating his rock spray, Lancaster finally got past, while Ashworth settled for 3rd place behind Clarke.
Race 2 was a six lap sprint with Ryan Lancaster taking the win, Glen Ashworth in 2nd and Luke Gaisford 3rd.
Moto 3 the last of the 15minute moto's was going to test the entire field as the track was slick and fast .Another flawless race from Lancaster saw him use race three as a training run, while Luke Gaisford battled his way through the field to finish second in race three and second on the podium for the day. Glen Ashworth was passed by Josh Higson and Jordan Dummett but the 5th for the race kept his third place for the day in check.
Sunday morning bright and early saw 240 riders roll through scrutineering and face a re-prepped track, the threat of rain loomed above and half way through practice the skies opened for a 20minute steady stream of rain. Clearing up to a chilly but fine day.
The Pro Lites race 1 had Paul Humberston and Daniel Shrimp fighting it out, until Shrimp took the lead, a few errors were'nt capitilised on, until Shrimp settled in to take the win, Humberston 2nd with Josh Adams coming from mid field to take 3rd.
Race 2 Abia Ashton took the holeshot and held off the ever charging Humberston, the last sand corner of the track saw Ashton go down and the entire field pass him, while Josh Adams took the race to the wire with a sprint over the chequers with Humberston less than a bike length separating the pair. David Birch came through for third, Ashley Whisler fourth and Robbie Clark 5th.
Race 3 Abia Ashton again with the holeshot and leading the field for a few laps before a flat tyre saw his race diminish into a circulating exercise, Josh Adams took the lead and was never challenged, Daniel Shrimp came through in second, Whisler third, Corey Spedding fourth and youngster Shaun Cornick 5th.

Pro Open fielded almost a full grid of riders, Louis Calvin took the holeshot in the first race, followed by Dean Porter, Ryan Haddon and Shane Murray, while Jamie Shaw was caught up back in 11th. Calvin and Porter took the 15 minute moto in their stride sitting a comfortable 15 seconds in front of 3rd placed Murray while Haddon slipped back through the field to race it out with Chris Errey and Jamie Shaw, less than half a lap from home Shaw and Errey collided in a corner, both going down, Shaw able to get going almost immediately while Errey couldnt.
Race 2 Louis Calvin claimed the holeshot with Dean Porter pushing his bike down over the first jump and jumping into second place keeping the gap nice and close for the sprint race, a technical out manoeuvre through a corner saw Porter hit the front, and suddenly Calvin start slipping back through the field with a flat tyre. Shane Murray took advantage, and held off the rest of the charging riders all eager to sprint out the entire 6 lap journey, Chris Errey came from eigth back to take third, Ryan Haddon in 4th and Jamie Shaw 5th.
Race 3 Calvin back with a new tyre while Shane Murray sealed the holeshot, Calvin comes through 9th for the first lap, while Porter claims the lead for half the race until he gets a flat and has to circulate for 5 laps, luckily securing 8th place and good points, Calvin takes just 6 laps to pass all riders and take the lead for the last 4 laps with Chris Errey second and Daniel Woodward 3rd.
