Summercross Feb 20th
Luke Gaisford #14 onboard the Stanford Cabinets Quad had his first race meet of the season on Saturday night at his local Club's feature night event of the year "Summercross". Held under lights in front of capacity crowds with an altered MX track, featuring high fast berms, beefed up jumps and technical sections to create a stadium arenacross feel for the many people in attendance.

Luke was fortunate to receive a ride on Stanford Cabinets Quad as his new Race bike was'nt quite completed in time for this Pre - season race meet, Luke was thankful for the opportunity to put the Quad through its paces in standard trim.

Things did'nt all go to plan for the youngster, when in Race 1 just 3 corners in, another bike became lodged into the back of his quad and without assistance from track marshal's, the two bikes wouldnt come apart. Zero points for the first race meant Luke was out of contention for the overall, so it was time to just knuckle down and make the best of the evening.  Race 2  Luke hit the front early and continued to extend his lead over the eight lap journey to 20 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor at the chequers.

Race 3 the holeshot belonged to Luke and he took off in front of the pack and never looked back. Two good wins and two great weeks of training sessions at Coastal Park was just what Luke needed to further his fitness for the upcoming race season.

2010 will see Luke Gaisford on the RPS Honda, with support from MotoXperts, Lonestar Racing, Quad Parts, RK Chains, Dental Artworks, Belray Oils & Rockingham Signwriters.

AJS Quickstarts Feb 28th
Luke travelled up to AJS and along with 10 others got some great racing in. The local boys seemed to have all turned out in orange bikes, and Lukes Stanford Cabinet's yellow bike looked a little out of place! Anyways Qucikstarts is really quick 4 only classes with 5 laps each, so not much time to sit about, but line back up for your next race. Luke put together 3 wins and good steady lap times. Coastal Park is on the agenda for this Sunday, another club, another track, and more great racing!
Coastal Club Run 1 March 7th
Huge turnout for the season opener at Coastal Park, 20 Senior Quads filled the grid, Luke again rode the Stanford Cabinets Quad, pulling 3 holeshots and 3 good wins. Happy to start seeing some results for the effort put in, Full event report here
AJS Quickstarts March 14th
The last of the 3 round Quickstart Series was held on Sunday with 14 Senior Quads from various clubs in attendance. Glen Ashworth is the holeshot king and made Luke work hard on the Stanford Cabinets Quad, to take his 3 wins for the day. Mitch Clarke, Jordan Dummett and Brad Filbey showed great form, not letting Luke or Glen have anything their own way in any race. Looking forward to State Round
22nd Civil War March 21st
Completing the AJS/ Coastal back to back pre- season was the Open Teams competition between North and South at Coastal Park. Eleven Senior Quads battled it out, with half on each team, Luke was on North, and although winning all three races, his team just couldnt take the overall.
March 28th, No racing this weekend, but two good days of practice with my sister as she has decided to concentrate on racing quads only this year. She has a Honda like mine purchased from and ex racer so it has plenty of cool after market parts on it. She also has a new number 51.    Sim1 Fiddy1 . We rode at Coastal to check out the setup, added some Flexx bars and a new FMF Pipe, I put in a few good laps to see how the suspension felt. I also went out to 4style's compound and helped Colin make plans for Easter, lots of hard work building some new jumps, wish we had a loader and a bobcat instead of shovels !
April 4 Happy Easter, mmm chocolate !

Spent most of Easter out at 4style with Colin, Jason and Brit working on the track and jumps. Sunday we had a Club run for Seniors leading up to the First State Round next Sunday 11th. The races were as per State Championship times and it was good to see how I'd go in the longer races, all good and added 3 more wins for the Stanford Cabinets Suzuki.
