Hey it’s Chris,
Been getting ready to go to America, I leave in 25 days on March 3rd. I have been training a lot on and off the bike with Chad McKay who has been helping me out and pushing me. The flight to L.A from Sydney is 14 hours, that’s a long time to be sitting down in a plane watching movies and trying to sleep. I am flying over with Luke and Cy. When we arrive in L.A we will be catching a shuttle bus to Cory Ellis’s house where we will get to meet Josh Kramer and possibly Dustin Wimmer before we go straight to bed to adjust our body clocks. We will be spending about 4 days in L.A. Cy has organized to go to Glen Helen MX track and check out the Suzuki team testing for the 2010 season, get a tour through the Yoshimura factory with Kory Ellis, go to Chaparral to show Luke how big the store actually is and general sight seeing around L.A. I will be taking photos of all these places I visit and posting them onto the site for all to see, so keep checking back for updates (once I’m in America it will be updated regularly.)
Thanks,
Chris

Me again,
Well today Chad and I drove down to Busselton again for some more training and self-coaching. As per usual Chad’s bike battery was flat and we didn’t know if he was going to be able to ride but things went his way for once and we were able to get it started. We started playing the “mine” game again which is really good for upper body strength, the rules are your not allowed to say “mine” if you do you have to do 10 push ups no matter where you are so it’s pretty funny sometimes as well. It was actually raining on the way to Busselton and I thought the track was going to be muddy but when we got there it was still dry, the clouds kept the heat and sun away, which made it really nice to ride. I was out first and Chad came out a couple of laps later, after about 5 laps each we hit up some coaching both telling each other what we thought they were doing wrong and helping each other out getting faster and smoother. After the coaching I had a bit to eat and drink then went back out to complete a 20min moto, about half way through I had a minor problem (flat tire) which forced me to pack up for the day then as Chad went out to do his 20min moto he crashed on the first lap around a high speed left hander and busted a tie rod which ended his day as well. On the trip home I got Chad twice with the “mine” so he had to do them on he side of the road haha sucker!

Not long till we fly out now, will be updating regularly now so keep checking back. Thanks for following me, hope you enjoy.

Hi all,
Well lately I have been doing a lot of training getting ready for America, more than I have ever done in a pre-season so hopefully it will pay off.  I found out that Joel Hetrick will be racing Pro-Am and his lap times are up with the top 5 riders in the Pro class so that’s going to be hard to compete with but it’s all about learning and becoming faster, you get faster by racing against faster people. I have been trying to get as much seat time on the bike as possible, also riding with Chad McKay makes things a bit more intense since we are trying to compete against each other.  Last Sunday Chad and I went up to Noble Falls for their practice day.  The track was super smooth and so much fun apart from all the dust, it was insane how dusty the track was you literally couldn’t see anything coming up if you were behind someone.  I only did 2 x 15min motos and a 5 lapper but I’m going to start doing 25 min motos to improve my stamina. I’ll be riding at Nobles again this weekend so I will get my sister or whoever I go with to take some video footage and I will upload it to youtube and post a link on here, I will be doing that a lot in America so you guys get to see what the track is like and I will also be using a helmet cam a fair bit so keep checking in for some good footage of myself and Luke Nixon.
